Some of the information discovered from Theatre Nemo’s project with Barlinnie proved to be incredibly interesting (see part one for further information).
Using this information, participants performed a factual piece of theatre charting crimes and misdemeanors that constituted being ‘locked up’ in Barlinnie from across the past 130 years.
Performances of A History of Barlinnie took place in the Chapel at HMP Barlinnie as part of the Barlinnie Arts Festival on November 14 and 15 alongside The Citizens Theatre’s Man Up.
