The adults who participated in the My Name Is project in 2012 could all be described as having complex social support needs. All who participated must be highly commended for what they achieved.
Taking influence from George Orwell’s Animal Farm, My Name Is, is a partially devised piece of drama that explores these questions: Who is listening? Does anyone know our names?
Following the project, facilitators noted great improvement in terms of eye contact, willingness to engage in conversation, ability to describe ideas and thoughts, confidence in speaking about ideas and thoughts, desire to continue engagement upon release, desire for further knowledge and information about potential opportunities relating to.
