Discover the creative possibilities of textiles through sewing, embroidery, crochet and knitting. Whether you’re completely new or already enjoy crafting, our sessions offer something for everyone.
A supportive, skill-sharing group
Our Textiles group is supported by Nemo Arts staff and volunteers rather than led as a formal class. Participants are encouraged to share their skills, ideas and experience with one another in a friendly and relaxed environment. Hugh is there to welcome everyone, provide practical support and help make sure the group runs smoothly.
What happens in the group?
During each 14-week term, you can explore sewing, embroidery, crochet, knitting and other textile crafts at your own pace. You can bring your own ideas, learn from other members of the group and share skills you already have. Materials and practical support are available, and everyone has the opportunity to display their work at our end-of-term showcase.
Join our Textiles group
Joining is easy through our online registration system or by referral. Participants can choose up to three Nemo Arts sessions each week. At the end of the term you’ll be able to register again for future programmes.

Textiles offers endless opportunities for creativity. As your confidence grows you’ll develop your own style, learn more advanced techniques and create pieces you’ll be proud to share.
