Current opportunities
Choir Volunteer
Our community Choir is looking for volunteers with singing experience to support our learners. Nemo Arts provides a programme of creative sessions for adults experiencing poor mental health. As part of that programme we have a community Choir every Wednesday from 2:30 – 4:30. We are looking for people with an interest in participatory arts who can volunteer within the weekly sessions. Volunteers will assist with the sessions by welcoming participants and supporting the choir director in the rehearsals. The choir currently sings in 2 part harmonies split into high and low. The participants require the support of volunteers to confidently sing the parts for each section.
Opportunities to collaborate.
Our Choir director, Gregg Muir, creates his own arrangements of popular songs specifically for the Choirs he leads as well as composing new material. For students/graduates with experience in composition this is an opportunity to test material or collaborate with Gregg on the project. For candidates with an interest in community music and leading groups there is opportunity to develop those skills working with our participants and supported by our tutor.
